When the digital series starts up in June (only at amkcomics.com), it’ll be continuing the storyline I started in issue #1. Don’t worry, I will be running #1 in May as a way of making sure everyone is on the same level story wise.
“Have you seen Armand Tyler?” introduces you to Sophia Tyler. Her dad, Army, hasn’t been home in days. The 15 year old honor student finds herself frantic to find him. But what she finds, shakes her to her core, as she discovers things about her dad that she can’t or doesn’t want to believe. The digital series releases will be eight pages at a time. Issue 2 was designed as a print release. So when I get to 24 pages, I will release a version in print and it will be available on IndyPlanet for purchase and through me at cons (whenever they start safely again). Now that’s not to say every digital release will be part of the same story. What I find interesting about doing the series digitally is the freedom. Occasionally, I will be doing eight page stories that take place outside the current storyline. One shots that I hope will fill the cracks of the world and allow me to vary things up occasionally. But don’t worry, I will only do that once an issue is complete. Here’s the cover. Starting today, I will be adding more content here on a regular basis as I transition to making more original content digital first. The current situation of the world has made me look at the very few cons I frequent opposed to the material I would like to produce more regularly.
There is now a CURRENT READ section on the site. I will explain a little more on the official announcement later this week. But you'll notice I've put the backup story from Issue one in there. Written by Mike Baron (Badger, Nexus, Flash Punisher, the Josh Pratt novels, Florida Man), it's a great story that I just feel needed to be shown to a bigger audience than those that bought the book. And I thought it was a great way to start what I have in mind. |
